This page explains what information this site handles when you visit it or write to us. It is short because we collect very little.

No tracking, no ads

  • We do not use analytics tools, advertising networks, tracking pixels or social media widgets.
  • The site does not set cookies for ordinary visitors. Cookies are used only when an editor logs in to manage the site.
  • Comments are switched off, and there are no accounts or forms that collect personal details.
  • Fonts and images are served from this site, so loading a page does not send your address to a third-party font or image service.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our hosting server keeps technical logs of requests: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser type and referring page. These are used to keep the site running and secure, are not combined with other data, and are deleted on the host’s normal rotation schedule.

The site is delivered through a content delivery and security network, which processes the same technical request data to deliver pages quickly and block abusive traffic.

If you email us

If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to read and answer your message, and we do not add you to any list or share your message with anyone. Please do not send passport scans, visa documents or other sensitive papers; we cannot assess them and do not need them.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete an email conversation at any time by writing to the same address. If you are in a region with data protection rights, such as the EU or UK, you can also ask what we hold about you; in practice that is limited to emails you have sent.

Changes

If this changes, for example if we ever add a privacy-friendly visitor counter, we will update this page and the date at the top first.
