What stands out

The Australian program has specific requirements that stand out. You must have a tertiary qualification or have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate university study. You also need to prove at least Functional English, for example with an IELTS score of 4.5. Most notably, first visa applications for Chinese citizens are managed by ballot and there is a cap of 5,000 first visas per program year.

For the New Zealand scheme, a key condition is that you must normally live in China and also be living there when you apply for the visa.

This page covers the destinations in this directory only: Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Japan, Germany, Hong Kong, South Korea. Singapore’s Work Holiday Programme is left out here because it depends on where your university is, not on your passport; see the Singapore sheet. A destination missing here may still run a program for your passport; check its official immigration site.
