What stands out

Several programs for Italian citizens have specific residence requirements. For Canada’s IEC program, you must be a resident of Italy when you apply and provide a residential or mailing address there. Similarly, the visa for Japan requires that you must currently live in the country of nationality. The Japanese program also has a limit of 500 visas per year.

The Canadian IEC program offers an unusual opportunity: as an Italian citizen, you may participate twice under any category. New Zealand’s visa has a condition limiting work to up to 3 months with any one employer.

This page covers the destinations in this directory only: Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Japan, Germany, Hong Kong, South Korea. Singapore’s Work Holiday Programme is left out here because it depends on where your university is, not on your passport; see the Singapore sheet. A destination missing here may still run a program for your passport; check its official immigration site.
