What stands out

The Australian Work and Holiday visa for Indian citizens has specific requirements that stand out. Unlike many other programs, it has a mandatory education condition: you must have completed at least 2 years of post-secondary study. There is also a minimum English language requirement, such as an IELTS average band of 4.5 or a PTE Academic score of 30.

Another key feature is that the application process is managed by a ballot system. This means you must enter and be selected from a pre-application ballot before you can apply for the visa itself.

This page covers the destinations in this directory only: Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Japan, Germany, Hong Kong, South Korea. Singapore’s Work Holiday Programme is left out here because it depends on where your university is, not on your passport; see the Singapore sheet. A destination missing here may still run a program for your passport; check its official immigration site.
