What stands out

Some programs for Dutch citizens have specific rules that are easy to miss. For example, Japan and Hong Kong have annual quotas of 200 and 100 visas respectively. Several countries, including Canada and Japan, require you to be living in the Netherlands when you apply. For the Hong Kong scheme, applicants must live in the European part of the Netherlands.

Canada’s International Experience Canada (IEC) program allows Dutch citizens to participate twice, but you must choose a different category each time. Hong Kong restricts you to working for no more than six months with the same employer.

This page covers the destinations in this directory only: Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Japan, Germany, Hong Kong, South Korea. Singapore’s Work Holiday Programme is left out here because it depends on where your university is, not on your passport; see the Singapore sheet. A destination missing here may still run a program for your passport; check its official immigration site.
